I enjoyed my brief overnight stay there very much. It is something of a step back in time. The way my specific room, the Chesapeake, was decorated caught my attention. There was a little framed display of nautical knots. I thought that I have to give myself a refresher course. I think the addition of one of those folding suitcase holders would be a good touch, and I was a bit surprised by the pillows. Perhaps in an attempt to provide hypoallergenic pillows, encasing them in what felt like shower-curtain material took some getting used to, even if the pillowcase itself was fabric. The bed itself was very comfortable. The breakfast in the morning was simple yet very well prepared and presented. I hadn't used a waffle maker in a long time. The eggs and sausage were delicious. (In addition to Tabasco, you may wish to try Frank's hot sauce.)

We are starting to love bed and breakfasts. The house is absolutely beautiful! The beautiful old floors caught my attention as soon as we walked in. Our room was on the 3rd floor and we were glad we didn't have a ton of luggage to carry up. Everything was clean and beautifully decorated. We choose a room with a jacuzzi tub and that was really nice and large. The bed was too hard for me but my husband liked it. The breakfast was yummy and filling. The options were scrambled eggs with cheese and potatoes with everything bagel seasoning. They also always have a waffle maker, toast, bagels and fruit.

The spacious landscaping helped me to engage my passion for bird watching. I could be inside or outside in the sun room and enjoy the short view. I loved the short walking paths. There were some private areas even if there were a large event crowd. The property was near to Fair Hill Nature Center where I finally finished my 9-year quest to photograph all 50 state birds, each in its home state. Danged oriole was hard to get. I wish it had been on the property but I can't blame host Harry for that.

The breakfast was fantastic and included a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, waffles and pastries. The house had so much character and natural light as well as a cozy homey feeling to it. The host was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay and we really enjoyed relaxing outside on the deck and on the beautiful grounds.

This Bed and Breakfast was clean and peaceful. The vintage and elegant decor created a wonderful, romantic ambience. There was a variety of foods for breakfast, and it was all delicious. The jacuzzi was nice and spacious as well.
